LARROKE START UP GUIDE

My ideas reconfigured to start strat:

Working off the changed starting land that we have, which is 30 homes, 20 farms and 10 plazas and mines. Here is what I am thinking about doing.

**Things in () are percentages at that stage of the operation.

Day One:

Working off that we start with the following now:
30 Homes        (15%)
20 Farms        (10%)
10 Plazas       (5%)
10 Mines        (5%)

Build:
25 Homes        (27.5%)
10 Plazas       (10%)
10 Mines        (10%)
10 Guilds       (5%)
20 Armouries    (10%)
3 Shipyards     (1.5%)
7 Towers        (3.5%)

Train & Such:

Draft 100 peasants.

Comments:

This is the most important stage of the game if you screw up here remember that you are losing time to get things done, so take your time. Set % goals here as well for all your land. Then work to that.

Day Two:

Now have:
55 Homes        (27.5%)
20 Farms        (10%)
20 Plazas       (10%)
20 Mines        (10%)
10 Guilds       (5%)
20 Armouries    (10%)
3 Shipyards     (1.5%)
7 Towers        (3.5%)

You now have 45 additional acres to build. Here's the idea for these:
15 Homes        (35%)
20 Guilds       (15%)
8 Towers        (7.5%)
2 Shipyards     (2.5%)

Train & Such:

At this stage is the time to get a bulk of Defensive troops in stock and ready. ALWAYS draft your maximun, never leave out any drafting for any reason even if you need to build... draft first then build. Constant drafting is what keeps you competitive and the Kingdom growing. Remember that we can lend you money as much as you need (we can all steal and produce it) but we can only send so many soldiers. For this round a defense of at least 1000 points is ideal. For a Fae that is only 125 Beastmasters, by the end of protection I should have 300-400 of them so defensive is set. Remember to set up your defense here for about 100-200 acres in addition to what you have. I'll train in this ratio 1:0:4:4 Off:Def:Elite:Thieves. This will provide ample thieves and defense for a good number of acres as well as a offense that is good enough for this stage. Remember that land is cheap the first two days so concentrate on defense rather then offense.

Comments:

Here on day two is also when I'll most likely explore for 20-50 acres. This is the only time though I'll ever explore. The reason, you have time to get Def. to protect it well before hand. With this I'll keep certain percentages that are above and relisted below.

Day Three (Last day until -0- hour):

Build (If I explore):

I will build to keep these ratios:
Homes        (27.5%)
Farms        (10%) (use the extra to help the kingdom)
Plazas       (15%)
Mines        (10%)
Guilds       (15%)
Armouries    (10%)
Shipyards    (2.5%)
Towers       (7.5%)

Train & Such:

Draft, draft, draft, draft, *subliminally* DRAFT. That is the most important. I will continue with my ratio to training and work on getting that 300-400 Beastmasters. I'll look at what I have at this point (12-24 hours until -0- hour) and decide if I will have enough beasties to defend. If not I'll put 100% into their training and get as close as possible.

Comments:

Important to realize that you now have the ability to cast spells. During day two and three I'll suppliment income with tree of gold. This extra money will be good. At -0- hour I'll use all my generals to attack for land. I'll find two juicy mid-range 283-350 acre provinces and hit them twice. Early in the day I'll find 10-20 of them and then hit the first untouched one I find etc.. As -0- hour approaches I'll also cast the full range of spells, clear sight, greater protection, Nature's Blessing and Mystic Aura. This will provide a great deal of extra protection for me as I come out of protection.

Later on:

Around 500-1000 acres I'll do a couple of things. First I'll drop those Mines and build Mills or Universities. On top of that I'll start to work towards 3 beastmasters per acre, 5-12 thieves per acre. I'll also have to get a great deal of offensive troops built up. 3:1 Off:Elites is what I'll get here at least. This way I have a good offense with a unbeatable defense. Continue to draft train and gain land daily and you'll grow real fast.
